Pathaan at Victory Cinema Pathaan brings Shah Rukh Khan to the big screen as an Indian intelligence operative drawn back into action when a dangerous international mercenary prepares an attack capable of causing destruction on an unprecedented scale. What begins as an investigation into a mysterious private organisation soon develops into a race across countries involving espionage, betrayal, biological warfare and agents whose true loyalties remain uncertain. Pathaan has spent years carrying out difficult assignments for his country. He is resourceful, fearless and capable of operating without conventional support, but his latest mission places him against an opponent who understands the intelligence system from within. Victory Cinema presents Pathaan in Hindi with English subtitles for movie lovers from across Bengaluru and beyond. Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the high-octane spy thriller stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham alongside Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana. With international locations, aerial confrontations, high-speed chases, hand-to-hand combat and music by Vishal and Sheykhar, Pathaan was prepared as a major Republic Day theatrical attraction designed for the scale, sound and collective excitement of the big screen. Shah Rukh Khan returns as Pathaan Shah Rukh Khan plays Pathaan, a veteran field agent known for his courage, endurance and willingness to enter situations from which ordinary operatives may not return. Pathaan is not defined only by physical strength. He survives through observation, instinct, humour and an ability to remain focused when everyone around him may be hiding something. His missions have required sacrifice, and his loyalty to the country has often demanded that he live without the stability available to ordinary people. The character gives Shah Rukh Khan opportunities to combine action, charm, emotion and sharp dialogue. Pathaan can respond playfully during a tense encounter, but he immediately recognises when a situation requires complete seriousness. His appearance reflects the years spent outside comfortable systems. Long hair, injuries and a rugged physical presence establish him as an operative who has endured imprisonment, pursuit and combat while continuing to protect his mission. Pathaan’s return becomes particularly important when conventional intelligence channels struggle to understand Outfit X. He must investigate an enemy who possesses resources, military training and a deeply personal reason for attacking India. John Abraham as Jim John Abraham plays Jim, the ruthless leader of Outfit X and one of the most formidable opponents Pathaan has encountered. Jim is not presented as an ordinary criminal interested only in money. He is a highly trained mercenary capable of planning international operations, recruiting experienced fighters and acquiring advanced weapons. His knowledge of intelligence procedures allows him to anticipate how agencies may respond. The official campaign establishes that Jim carries a bitter history of his own. His anger has developed into a desire for revenge, and he is prepared to make an entire country pay for what he believes was done to him. John Abraham’s physical presence, controlled dialogue and action experience make Jim a powerful contrast to Pathaan. Both men are disciplined, capable and fearless, but they have chosen completely different responses to sacrifice. Their conflict is therefore more than a battle between a hero and a villain. Pathaan represents continued service despite personal pain, while Jim represents anger transformed into destructive vengeance. The confrontations between Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham promise hand-to-hand combat, motorcycles, aircraft, weapons and tactical action across several international locations. Deepika Padukone as Rubai Deepika Padukone plays Dr Rubina Mohsin, known as Rubai, an intelligence operative whose path becomes closely connected with Pathaan’s mission. Rubai is confident, highly trained and capable of handling dangerous assignments without depending upon Pathaan for protection. She can participate directly in combat, plan operations and use deception when the mission requires it. Pathaan, however, cannot immediately determine whether she can be trusted. Rubai possesses information connected with Jim and Outfit X, but her motives remain concealed. Cooperation may be essential to stopping the attack, even when every new revelation creates another reason for suspicion. The relationship between Pathaan and Rubai brings romance, attraction and uncertainty into the espionage story. Their chemistry is shaped by danger because neither person can completely separate personal emotion from professional duty. Deepika Padukone’s role adds glamour and physical action to the film while keeping Rubai central to the mystery. She is not merely accompanying Pathaan through the mission. Her decisions can determine whether he reaches Jim, understands Operation Raktabeej and survives the betrayals waiting ahead. Nandini and the JOCR unit Dimple Kapadia plays Dr Nandini Grewal, a senior intelligence officer who recognises the value of agents whose injuries, age or unusual histories may have removed them from conventional frontline duty. She establishes the Joint Operations and Covert Research unit, known as JOCR, to bring such operatives together for missions requiring experience, flexibility and methods outside ordinary structures. Pathaan becomes central to this unit because he understands that an agent’s usefulness cannot be measured only through official status. The members of JOCR may have been overlooked by the system, but their knowledge and determination make them valuable when the country faces an unconventional threat. Nandini brings authority, intelligence and emotional depth to the operation. She understands the sacrifices made by field agents and the consequences when institutions fail to protect the people serving them. Her connection with Pathaan also strengthens the film’s themes of loyalty and belonging. For operatives who cannot maintain ordinary family lives, the unit becomes a community held together by trust and shared purpose. Colonel Luthra and India’s intelligence response Ashutosh Rana returns as Colonel Sunil Luthra, a senior intelligence officer responsible for responding to the threat created by Outfit X. Luthra represents the official structure of the intelligence establishment. He must assess information, coordinate resources and determine whether Pathaan’s unconventional methods can be trusted when the danger becomes increasingly urgent. The relationship between Luthra and Pathaan may involve disagreement, but both understand that the approaching attack must be stopped. Their differences concern strategy, discipline and the risks an operative should be permitted to take. As the doomsday clock begins moving faster, Luthra must consider possibilities that initially appear unbelievable. Outfit X is not planning a conventional military strike, and the true meaning of Operation Raktabeej remains hidden. Operation Raktabeej At the centre of the mission is Operation Raktabeej, Jim’s secret plan for an attack capable of spreading fear and mass destruction. Pathaan must discover what the operation involves, where it will be launched and how much time remains before it becomes irreversible. Jim has organised the mission through layers of secrecy, international contacts and people prepared to betray governments for money or revenge. The biological dimension makes the threat particularly dangerous. Unlike a visible army, the weapon may move unnoticed until the consequences begin appearing. Intelligence, scientific understanding and rapid action become as important as physical combat. Every delay strengthens Jim’s advantage. Pathaan and Rubai must follow clues across borders, survive attempts to eliminate them and determine which information has been deliberately planted to mislead them. The mission creates a genuine race against time, placing millions of lives behind every decision the agents make. Siddharth Anand’s international action spectacle Director Siddharth Anand presents Pathaan as a large-scale espionage adventure moving through India, Europe, the Middle East and other international environments. The action includes motorcycles racing across ice, combat on moving vehicles, aerial pursuit, explosions and fights staged above landscapes where one mistake could be fatal. Each location creates a different physical challenge rather than serving only as a visual background. Satchith Paulose’s cinematography gives the film a polished international canvas, capturing city skylines, beaches, snow-covered terrain, military facilities and expansive action environments. Aarif Sheikh’s editing controls the movement between Pathaan, Rubai, Jim and the intelligence agencies while maintaining the urgency surrounding Operation Raktabeej. The screenplay by Shridhar Raghavan builds the mission through revelations and reversals, while Abbas Tyrewala’s dialogues give the characters humour, emotion and forceful confrontations. The approximately 146-minute theatrical presentation allows the story to combine espionage, character history, romance, songs and sustained action while maintaining the countdown towards Jim’s final plan. Music and theatrical energy Vishal and Sheykhar compose the songs, while Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara provide the background score. “Besharam Rang” presents Pathaan and Rubai through glamour, attraction and an international visual setting. The song introduces the chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone while preserving the uncertainty surrounding Rubai’s intentions. “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” celebrates the confidence and personality of the title character through rhythm, dance and colourful choreography. The background score gives Pathaan and Jim distinct musical identities while adding scale to chases, combat and revelations. Inside a cinema auditorium, the percussion, explosions, aircraft and action soundscape strengthen the film’s immersive theatrical impact. Hindi with English subtitles Victory Cinema presents Pathaan in its original Hindi language with English subtitles. Audiences can experience Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogue delivery, Deepika Padukone’s performance, John Abraham’s menace, Dimple Kapadia’s authority and Ashutosh Rana’s intelligence briefings while clearly following every important exchange. The subtitles are particularly helpful during rapid espionage discussions, international operations and explanations concerning Outfit X and Operation Raktabeej. They make the film accessible to Bengaluru’s diverse moviegoing audience while preserving the personality of the original Hindi performances.
